Greece
Cow Farm

September 2024

Completion Date

Didymoteicho, Greece

Location

540 Holstein cows

Capacity
The farm in Didymoteicho represents one of Milkplan’s largest dairy farm equipment projects in Greece and the country’s first fully robotic XL-scale dairy farm.

The facility is equipped with advanced cow beds, cooling, ventilation, and lighting systems, creating an organized environment that enhances animal welfare.

Additionally, nine Astronaut A5 robotic milking systems and two Vector MFR robotic feed pushers were installed, operating from a shared feed preparation area to serve the entire livestock.

This automated management of milking and feeding processes significantly reduces daily labor routines, allowing the farm to operate with a smaller, more specialized workforce. The unit sets a new standard for Greece’s dairy industry, combining innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge agricultural technology.
