Milkplan S.A headquartered in Thessaloniki, is a market leader in Greece and among top industrial manufacturers of dairy & farming solutions globally. Milkplan S.A, is manufacturing innovative robust quality products in their 30,000 m2 privately owned, factories in Thessaloniki, Greece.
We are searching for a Senior Product Design Engineer to be part of the Engineering team, responsible for the design, analysis, prototyping, and engineering documentation of Milkplan’s innovative product offerings.
More specifically, the responsibilities are:
Product design and development: preparing both rough sketches and detailed 3D master drawings and assemblies of new or modifications of existing products using design packages (i.e SolidWorks, Inventor), as well as writing their specifications / product recipes.
Drafting / creating 2D manufacturing drawings, BOM and CAM files for company’s products. Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.
Preparing instruction manuals, data sheets and technical proposals.
Analyzing customers' technical drawings / documentation, estimating material requirements and costs.
Calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery and overhead
Communicating with the production teams to ensure compliance with the drawings, resolving design issues and incorporating knowledge gained into future drawings.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in a similar position
Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor and Microsoft Office
Good knowledge of English
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Very good communication skills
Mind-set for problem solving
